Instructions and Procedure for online submission of Application Form

1. Please read the Information Bulletin of CTET February 2026 carefully before you start filling the Online Application  Form.
2. Candidates can apply for CTET February 2026 ‘ON-LINE’ through website https://ctet.nic.in
 

For ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION – https://ctet.nic.in Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ at Board’s website https://ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Application Number after successful submission of data.
3. Candidates are not required to send hard copy of confirmation page to CTET Unit, CBSE. However, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the application i.e. confirmation page, for future reference.
4. Examination Fees
 
Category Only Paper – I or II Both Paper – I & II
General / OBC (NCL) Rs. 1000 /- (One Thousand) Rs. 1200 /- (Twelve Hundred)
SC / ST / Differently Abled Person Rs. 500 /- (Five Hundred) Rs. 600 /- (Six Hundred)
GST (as applicable) will be charged extra by the Bank
5. Application Procedure: 3 Simple Steps to be followed to apply online
 
Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down system generated Registration No./Application No. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. After successful submission of the data, Registration No. will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence.
  Upload latest Photograph and Signature
Note :
  • Latest photographs and signature should be in jpg format.
  • Size of the photo image must be greater than 10 kb and less than 100 kb.
  • Size of the signature image must be greater than 3 kb and less than 30 kb.
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width) * 4.5 cm(Height) only
  • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm(length) * 1.5 cm(Height) only
* NOTE : The candidate particulars can be edited till the payment of fees has not been made. Once the payment of fees has been made, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections can be made only during the period in which online correction will be allowed as per the given schedule of CTET February 2026 . No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application or by email etc. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Step 2: Pay Examination Fee by debit card/credit card/Internet Banking/UPI.
Step 3: Print Confirmation Page for your record and future reference.If the Confirmation Page is not displayed after the payment, the transaction is considered incomplete, and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. In such cases, candidates will be required to initiate a new transaction to complete the payment process
6. All Steps are mandatory, On-line application submission will be considered as complete only after receipt of “Confirmation Page” by candidate.
7. Important Instructions about PASSWORD
 
  • During registration, candidate will be required to choose PASSWORD and Security Question and its Answer. Candidate is advised to remember his/her password for all future logins.
  • The Password must be as per the following Password policy.
    1. Password must be 8 to 13 character long.
    2. Password must have at least one Upper case alphabet
    3. Password must have at least one Lower case alphabet.
    4. Password must have at least one numeric value.
    5. Password must have at least one special characters eg.!@#$%^&*-
  • For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with his/her respective system generated Application Number and the chosen Password.
  • Candidate is advised not to disclose or share his/her password with anybody. Neither CBSE nor NIC will be responsible for violation or misuse of the password of a candidate.
  • Candidate can change his/her passwords after login, if desired.
  • Candidate should remember to log out at the end of his/her session so that the particulars of the candidate cannot be tampered or modified by unauthorized persons.
8. How to reset your Password : The following options are available to reset Password
 
  1. Using Security Question & its Answer you chosen during Form filling .
  2. Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No.
  3. Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address.
